It demonstrates how thelack of communication or say isolation harms the relationshipbetween people and the development of healthy personalitythrough the facts that it turns the childhood friends—Christineand Heed into death-defying enemies and makes them spend themost part of their life in cold hatred and brutal persecution ofeach other. The positive effect of communication is convincinglyproved in The Color Purple: the sould-be hostility between Shugand Celie was turned into deep lifelong love of sisterhood. Thisfriendship not only saved Celie, bought happiness to the blackwomen but also improved the black men, which can be seen inAlbert and Harpo.Through the contrast and analysis, the following conclusionis reached that communication is a human necessity and it playsan important role in the healthy development of personality andthe realization of happiness in life. So the busy modern peopleare suggested to remember to communicate with people aroundthem, in order to promote mutual understanding and to create aharmonious and happy social life for all. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Communication, Love, Sisterhood, Isolation, Hatred | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
