The policy and criterion of the system during historical periods restricted the production and movement of human society, and effected indirectly the relation between the production and movement of human society and the environmental change. State farming on the border was an important system, which was about the government in past dynasties having consolidated the national defense and having ensured military supplies, Large-scale "nine-border" state farming in the Ming dynasty effected the environmental change to a certain extent. Since modern times, the scholars had began to pay attention to the research the relation between "nine-border" state farming and environmental change, there were two viewpoints: one was that state farming makes region environment deteriorate nowadays; the other was that state farming has a limit to environmental destruct because of various factors, besides, the natural factors affected environmental deterioration. In this paper, as a example of state farming on the border of Yulin Fortress in the Ming dynasty, by collecting, clearing up and analyzing of the literature and data correlative, and reviewing historically the development process of the system about state farming, and recovering the environment on Yulin region in the Ming dynasty, as a base of this, the strength degree of state farming for environmental change was analyzed, and the relation between state farming on the border of Yulin Fortress in the Ming dynasty and environmental change was discussed primarily.The paper was divided six parts together.Firstly, the reason of selecting for subject, the status of research, the explanation of historical data and the meaning of selecting for subject were cleared up and explained. The part work of important items about natural science fund in nation was the origin of this paper, and the particularity of the zone on Yunlin Fortress in the Ming dynasty and the system of state farming are the root of research. Because the literature and data of "nine-border" in the Ming dynasty was relatively numerous and jumbled, the representative literature was cleared up and analyzed. The research conduced to understanding not only the relation between activity of human being and environmental change, but also community production of human being and building in their own homestead at the same time.
