When the "Seventeen-year" poetic writing and the poetry of the "Third Generation" are regarded as language and studied form the aspects of the elements of language, the comparative characteristics of the poetic writing state and the forming of text can be found in the poetry of the two periods. A study of comparative may help us approach the poetry of the two periods objectively and justly. This thesis is the study of the two writing state of poetry from this point of view. The main parts of the thesis discuss the comparative characteristics from the aspects of context, narrator, text, reader and reception. The comparative of the "Seventeen-year" and the "Third Generation" poetic writing is mainly manifested in the point of view of the narrator, the addressee, the realization of the text and intervention, the language of the text and the text's intention of communicating with the reader etc. As to the point of view of poetic writing, the "Seventeen-year" poetry is the upward and elevated, possessing the destination of creating god and the responsibility of constructing the national metaphor. This point of view orientates itself towards three directions: first it is the imagination of China focusing on the theme of great festival celebration; the second is the warship of the leader by presenting the images in which the core is the sun; the third is the fantasy of the modernization of Chinese society, represented by the code of city, which is the concentrated and extreme writing of the national metaphor, comparatively the point of view of poetic writing went downwards in the "Third Generation": the writing shifted from nation, times, and culture to individual, locality, home, daily life and tradition. Their poems went away from the heroes and the glorious legends, focusing on the truthful reflecting the daily life of nobody without any decoration. They gave up imagination and neglected the objects conveyed by the stable national spirit carrier. Moreover, from time to time in the "Seventeen-year" poetry, the worship of the sun caste over the "object", which caused the personification and deification of the "object". The "object" became the symbol of the political opinion. While in the "Third Generation" poetry, "object" obtained the independent existence. The divinity and sublime were dismembered mercilessly, and the poetic writing turned to belong to commoners. The "time" is centered on "now", the past (historidsm) and the future (futurism) had lost. On the addressee, from the political lyrics to the "Obscure Poem" and then to the "Third Generation" poetry, the personal pronoun fall down from "we" to "I" to "object". The "Seventeen-year" and the "Third Generation" are on the two ends of this line. Furthermore, the two states of poetic writing both caused the losing of "self", and the way of losing are comparative The comparative features of the text are mainly represented on the intervention of reality. As to the language of the text, this thesis proposes a study from the aspect of linguistics.
