The interpersonal self-esteem is one aspect of self-esteem, it indicates the influential evaluations, feelings and authorities which one get from peers or in social relations. It could reflect that how people are regarded by others indirectly. It is very valuable both in theory and practice to study it. The main aim of the study is to develop a Semantic Differential Scale of University Students' interpersonal self-esteem.Based on overviews of former researches, the theoretical hypothesis was constructed. After investigating 387 students by the opened questionnaire, we selected 51 pares of adjectives. The exploring factor analysis of the preliminary scale, with which 461 students were investigated, formed the formal scale. The Semantic Differential Scale of University Students' Interpersonal Self-esteem was examined by many indexes. We also test the relation among interpersonal self-esteem, social relationship and expectation. The main results of this study are as follows:1. Interpersonal self-esteem of university students is a multi-level and multi-dimensional system. It consists of two levels of main social relationship self-esteem and special need self-esteem. The main social relationship self-esteem of interpersonal self-esteem has higher level of abstraction, and the lower level of abstraction is represented by the special need self-esteem through three aspects of containing, controlling and affection. University students' main social relationship self-esteem can be divided into three aspects, the group-relationship self-esteem, the close friendship self-esteem and the teacher-student relationship self-esteem.
