Base on Snyder’s hope theory, a hope questionnaire is made out for college students. This questionnaire including General Hope, Academic Hope, Family Hope, Leisure Hope and Love Hope five dimensionality of28questions in total. According to exploratory and confirmatory factors analysis, the reliability and validity of questionnaire is pleasant. By using the questionnaire, we discuss relations among college student’s Hope, Interpersonal Relationships, and Self-esteem, and finally get the following conclusion1. Levels of college students’ Hope and Self-esteem are above the average, while Interpersonal Relationships be obsessed.2. There is a significant difference of college students between genders in Love Hope; And remarkable difference also appear in different family source in General hope, Leisure hope; Differences between who is the only child and not is noteworthy in Leisure Hope; Majors difference is conspicuous in General Hope and Family Hope; Different grades also show different in General Hope, Academic Hope, Love Hope and Total Hope; Striking difference reveals in General hope, Academic Hope, Love Hope and Total Hope.3. Levels of college students’Self-esteem are almost the same no matter they are of different genders, and the only child or not, or they are from different grade and major; while there is a significant difference between different family source and class overall performance.4.Boy’s distress is extent to be significantly higher than girls in interpersonal conversation, interpersonal skills, contact to opposite sex and Interpersonal relationships; Science and engineering students’distress is extent to be significantly higher than Literature and History students in interpersonal skills, contact to opposite sex and Interpersonal relationships; Urban college students’distress is extent to be significantly lower than the rural students in interpersonal conversation, contact to opposite sex and Interpersonal relationships; Whether they are the only-child or not has little impact to Interpersonal relationships; There is remarkable difference between different grade in interpersonal conversation, interpersonal skills, contact to opposite sex and Interpersonal relationships; Difference also appear on the class overall performance in interpersonal conversation, interpersonal skills, and Interpersonal relationships5. Interpersonal relationships have a significant role in the prediction on hope and its five dimensionalities; Interpersonal relationships can also forecast self-esteem and its two dimensionalities; Self-esteem is a significant predictor on hope and its five dimensionalities.6. Interpersonal relationship influence hope through self-esteem, self-esteem also could be mediating variables, by which the Interpersonal relationships influence hope.
