Study On Transnational Pushtuns

Pushtuns is one of important transnational nations in Central Asia.They settled along the borderland between Afghanistan and Pakistan in the form of tribe.This region is the road from Central Asia to India,which was called"The Key of India".Pushtuns is a major nation of Afghanistan,who had established the Duranid dynasty of Afghanistan in modern history of Central Asia.With the fall of Afghanistan and the game between Britain and Russia during the 19th century,Afghanistan had become the Subcolony of Britain.For grabbed Central Asia and controlled the Northwestern border of India,Britain had invaded Afghanistan twice from 1830s to 1870s.In 1893,Britain had forced Afghanistan to sign"The Durand Pact",which not only made Afghanistan become the buffer state between Britain and Russia,but also made Pushtuns become transnational nation.Since then,Pushtuns have experienced different development roads.This article based on many historic materials of Chinese and foreign languages,with the transnational nation theory discussed transnational Pushtuns and analysed the formation process of transnational Pushtuns,which influenced Central Asia and the historic development of Afghanistan in many aspects.At first,this article discussed the current situation of transnational Pushtuns. Then discussed the formation process of transnational Pushtuns,analysed the experience of Pushtuns in Afghanistan was divided by Britain,the resistence of Pushtuns,and what kind of policy Afghanistan,BritishIndia and Pakistan carried out to Pushtuns respectively.At last,this article discussed and analysed the influence to Central Aisa after the formation of transnational Pushtuns,which include the fall of Afghanistan,the expension of Britain in India,"The Great Game"between Britain and Russia in Central Asia,the Afghan war and the confirmation of borders among Afghanistan,Britain and Russia,etc.The conclusion is Pushtuns had become the transnational nation was forced by Britain.The influence to Central Asia and Pushtuns include two aspects,one is Britain and Russia stopped the grab for Central Asia temporarily.But Afghanistan's weakness couldn't act as the role of buffer state,and Afghanistan was not satisfied with Pushtuns become the transnational nation,so these factors planted a unstable seed of Central Asia;the other aspect, Transnational Pushtuns have experienced different development roads and influenced by different country's policies on nation,ecnomy and culture,etc they settled.
