Late Qing was in the period that internal and external suffers interwinded, and all levels of society were undergoing changes. The Army System in Late Qing had undergone a series of changes, from the Eight Banners-LuYing System to the Brave-Army System based on the Xiang and Huai armies, then next to the New-Army System. In the transition of the military system, the Navy System came into being.In the process of military system's changes in Late Qing, as the body of the army, the military generals'structures had changed. Such as origin, qualification and so on. The thesis includes a rough description on the transition of the Army System in Late Qing, and then gets the separated statistics and analysis of the military generals basing on the regional distribution. Such as general, perfect, the commander and the new army generals.According to the analysis, it is clear that the transition of Army System in Late Qing had changed the regional distribution of the military generals. The national policy of"Adore Manchuria Firstly, do the Eight Banners"made the Manchu people had all posts of generals; But the rise of the Brave-Army System made Han people accouted for the majority in other army posts, and the numbers of military generals in Hunan and Anhui provinces were the most. After the defeat of War in 1898, in order to adapt to the changes in the situation, the Qing Government created the New-Army System which had the new demands to the military generals that the students of military academies replaced the status of traditional military generals. In the developed and open areas, there were more students of military academies, and then more New-Army generals appeared. In fact, the military generals in Late Qing mostly concentrated in the two developed and open areas---the middle and upper reaches of the Yangtze River and the North China.At present, there are many outstanding researches on the military system in Late Qing, but under the transition of the military system, the regional distribution of military general in Late Qing is lack of research.
