Study On Ou Yangxiu's Literary Activities And Works Attatched To Yingzhou

Ou Yangxiu is an important character with a fabulous life in political circle and literary world in Song dynasty. As an official in Yingzhou prefecture, he gave us many stories and literal works. It is a much-told story that is worth while narrating. The article tries to discuss the sentimental bond with Yingzhou and his literary activities and creation in Yingzhou. There are six parts as follow:The introduction introduce briefly Ou Yangxiu, Yingzhou and Ou Yangxiu's life experiences in Yingzhou and then it leads to the aim of this essay, its significance and its innovations.The first part narrates all his experience in detail about Ou Yangxiu's five times to Yingzhou, then analyses the cause and effect of every time he went to the place. Every time he lived a leisurely and comfortable life in Yingzhou, but he was so fiercely longing for old haunt when he left that after retirement he returned to Yingzhou to enjoy the rest of his life peacefully. According to the narrations above, then I introduce the reasons why Ou Yangxiu so heavily related Yingzhou to his life from point of view subjectivity and objectivity.The second part generalizes his literary activities in Yingzhou, including literati's parties, responding to poems with poems, writing scholarly works etc, and gives a profound analysis on the influence of these activities in the literary world of that time. He celbrated many singing-and-creating-poem parties with young talents, and kept close contact with like-minded friends in other places, and often exchanged of letters and responded to poems with poems with them, even many people came to Yingzhou to take part in his parties. All these activities and literary practices flourished the academic atmosphere, and promoted the level of the local culture, in some sense also developed the literature of North Song dynasty.The third part introduces all his works attached to Yingzhou, which includes his poems, Ci poems, proses and other poems about his longing for Yingzhou after his retirement.
