This thesis research of Yingzhou town historical geography in Qing Dynasty through four topics. These four topics are:The formation of Yingzhou in Qing Dynasty and the general situation of the six counties under its jurisdiction; the flood and drought climate is harm to town and region agricultural economy; the development of water and land transportation and its influence of townshangye commerce; the historical sites of internal and external Yingzhou city and related cultural and educational situation.After the army of Qing dynasty entering the Shanhaiguan, in the aspect of managing about the Huai river basin, Yingzhou Fu was a typical representative. Yingzhou Fu was located in the junction of Anhui, Shandong and Henan province, and the six counties and one Zhou in its domain had a significant impact to the human geography of the northwest of Anhui province. For a long time, it has been noticed by many historians that the history of Yingzhou Fu has a significance in the social culture change of the Huai river basin. In this paper, it has learnt from the research findings of Yingzhou Fu, and based on the space of Yingzhou Fu itself, discussed the culture characteristics of town, disasters, traffic, etc. It has a new review about the humanity and historical geography of Yingzhou Fu.In the first chapter of the thesis, it was regarded Yingzhou Fu’s historical evolution as a new set province, and seemed the frequent change of its establishment as a research object. During the whole period of Qing dynasty, the administrative establishment of this district was constantly changing. This chapter had based on the location of Yingzhou city, combed the evolution and the formation of the district of Yingzhou Fu, the general situation, form and structure of Yingzhou Fu and the counties under its jurisdiction in Qing dynasty. As for the reformation of the current local administrative division, it has the value of available for reference.The second chapter focused on the influence of the climate disasters on the towns or agricultural economy in this region, and had the purpose to illustrate the typicality of Yingzhou Fu during that special historical period. Firstly, this chapter set out the destruction of flood and drought disasters to each town in the region at that time. Secondly, it pointed out the characteristic of the appearance of the two kinds of disaster. Finally, it had a statistic about the proportion of the emergence of these disasters in the different counties of the region during the268years of Qing dynasty. Then it analysed the reason for the flood and drought disasters respectively from the climate and the channel connection, and analysed the significant influence of these disasters on the city, crops, people and livestock.The third chapter researched into the formation of some towns that is relied on the Huai River. The advantages of the main rivers were highlighted during the early and middle period of Qing dynasty, such as Huai River, Ying River, Guo River and so on. However, in the process of the formation of traditional post delivery, the new traffic had finished its historic change during the late period of Qing dynasty. What was worth to notice is that the preparation to construct railway in the region had been proposed in late Qing dynasty.At the last of this thesis, it supplied the culture heritage and the general situation of culture education in the towns, and these reflected the culture characteristics of Yingzhou Fu in Qing dynasty, many cultural factors exploring the role of Yingzhou Fu in the cultural status of Anhui province in Qing dynasty.
