Because the African American had been seized to America two centuries ago, and they were Negroes, so they have been long for independence in U.S.A strongly.And the literature of African American also hope for independence, though the way of independence is very difficult, the African American writers never give up. In fact, the literature of black keeps the contact with the theory of Post Colonialism, thus to explain and understand the deep soul hiding in the literature of black, we have to understand the theory of Post Colonialism.From the last century, especially the Halem Renaissance ,the African American literature had focused on the same treatment as the white people, for example ,the famous writer Hughs and Wright.About thirty years later, the African American writers had focused on the culture of their race. For they realized that only to find the root of culture of the black, they can gain the true independence. The representative works is the invisible man.
