An Analysis On The Designing Of Multimedia Overseas Chinese Teaching Materials

Overseas Chinese teaching materials always play an important role in the overseas Chinese education. Multimedia overseas Chinese teaching materials have some characteristics such as vivid forms ,excellence in both illustration and text and friendly interactive atmosphere for the teaching objects of overseas Chinese education are mostly overseas Chinese descendants,so it is fit for them.Based on the five typical sets of multimedia overseas Chinese teaching materials,this paper firstly analyzes the main designing principles of the five sets teaching materials by adopting the behavioral learning theory,cognitive learning theory and constructive learning theory,such as the instant feedback principle in the behavioral learning theory. Then this paper chooses two important fields in the designing of multimedia teaching materials-the designing of navigation system and the designing of exercises and feedbacks and analyze them from several angles by using quantitative and qualitative analytic methods. In the navigation system part,this paper analyzes six basic navigation models,such as catalog navigation and then draws a conclusion on the navigation system designing rules. In the exercises and feedbacks designing part,the paper first concludes the main characteristics of the exercises of the multimedia overseas Chinese teaching materials,and then investigates the exercises from the angles of style,feedback and interaction adopting quantitative and qualitative analytic methods. At the end of the paper,the author concludes the merits and shortcomings in the five sets overseas Chinese teaching materials and also provides some suggestions on how to improve the multimedia overseas Chinese teaching materials in the future.
