| After the Cold War, peace and development became tendency of the day, but the international society is still unquiet, especially since the midterm of 1990s, the increasing elements that threaten national security have been influencing on the world immensely. Traditional security view cannot explain why the human-being is still facing various threats. so, the research on national security is not simply restricted to the fields of military, politics and diplomacy affairs, The non-traditional security issues such as economy, environment, information, transnational crime, drug trade, terrorism, smuggle, prevalent sickness, which are connected with national security has become the hot spot, under this background, this thesis chooses the non-traditional security as the object to discuss so as to state the main issues of non-traditional security existing in China.Being suffered from serious threats of Non-traditional Security, China and ASEAN must adopt vigorous measures to confront challenge. There are some evidences: Asia Financial Crisis in 1997, Bali Bombing in 2002, SARS in 2003 and so on. It is difficult to collaborate in Traditional Security between China and ASEAN for lacking of trust in history. But they may collaborate effectively because their common interests in NTS. Actually, the situation of cooperation is gloomy and depressing, which exposes the weakness of cooperation between China and ASEAN.The paper probes into the origin of Sino-ASEAN non-traditional security cooperation concept by tracing the theory of security community. According to the locus of Sino-ASEAN non-traditional security issues such as economy,terrorism,drug trade,prevalent sickness ,maritime security ,and environment etc.,and the shortcomings of cooperation, we should hold a standpoint and corresponding strategy, which is to strengthen the actual operation, especially the regional cooperation,not only the soft mechanism.Meanwhile,we must develop the scope of Sino-ASEAN non-traditional security cooperation.
