If we don't know the history of a subject, it will affect further development of the subject .The development of The World History Subject of Chinese in 20 centuries mostly can be divided into two stages: From the beginning of 20 centuries to 1949 is the first stage ,it is the beginning stage; From 1949 to now is second stages ,.at that time The World History Subject of Chinese experienced a turns and twists development, and established more perfect system of subject. After 80 Age , accompanying with the progress of the reform and open, we pay attention to the subject day by day. The World History Subject of Chinese got into the speedway of its development. But in the research of former historiography history, the research to The World History Subject of Chinese is obviously not enough. So far, academic circles have initial researches to the second stage. The research to the first stage do not set off. Although the first half century of twentieth century the World History Subject of Chinese do not develop perfect system of subject. The World History Subject of Chinese have had already early scale, and have accumulated a wealth of experience, have laid a foundation for days to come. Because Peking University and Tshinghua University had special position and advantage, these two schools are representation in many subjects of the modern university in China. This thesis have concrete research to the World History Subject of Peking University and Tshinghua University. We can study the creation and development of the World History Subject of Chinese in 1920s' to 1940s' of the twentieth century.The full text is totally divided into 4 and account more than 40,000 words.In chapter 1,the thesis mainly studied background of the World History Subject of Chinese in beginning set up, namely circumstances of the world history courses setting up in new-type schools. There was beginning to the World History Subject of Chinese in schools that missionary established. The new-type schools had "the world history and the world geography" in westernization Movement. It was a fashion to translating world history courses in "I Yin(1902) educational system" and "J Mao(1904) educational system". The whole history courses in teacher university hall of Peking herald establishment of the World History Subject of Chinese.In chapter 2, the thesis analyzed the influence of the new educational system of university to the World History Subject of Chinese. Then the thesis explained the establish and development of the World History Subject of Peking University and Tshinghua University from the system and policy aspect.In chapter 3, the thesis analyzed the progress of establishment and development of yhe World History Subject of Chinese from the knowledge and the academic aspect. These concrete aspects includes world history teachers' conditions, the policies to teachers for taking up advanced studies, teaching, testing, textbooks and writes etc.. We can get the basic feature of the World History Subject of Chinese through these concretely studies.In chapter 4, the thesis introduced of Peking University and Tshinghua University in the period of the Southwest United University and postwar. In this thesis, I summed up the characteristics of the World History Subject of Chinese and clarify the influence.In view of the whole development of the subject, there are large amount of experience and precept of teaching and studying in The World History Subject of Chinese. These experience and precept is a wealth to us. These is teaching and studying of great significance to the World History Subject of Chinese.
