Relaxation trainings, one of the important methods for athletes'emotion modulation, is a base for psychological training. The self-talk and image are the often-used psychological relaxation cognitive skills. The study, with the experimental method—the complete between-subject design, and also with the pictures and sounds as stimulates, guided the subjects to conduct self-talk and vision imagery relaxation, and collected the instant and delayed value of their brain wave and their forehead EMG during the relaxation with a direct subjective valuation of the subjects'relaxation feeling followed the examination. The findings are as follows:a) The dimension of the subjects'inner peace embodies the subjective valuation differences of the effect between the self-talk and vision image relaxation. The relaxation effects of the self-talk surpass those of the vision image on the speed of inner peace, the maintaining and the degree.b) Both the vision image and the self-talk can significantly result in changes in the subjects'brain wave and EMG, of which theαwave and theθwave rise significantly, while theirβwave and their forehead EMG drop significantly.c) Time and the interactions of Time and Methods affect theαwave at a significant statistics level, while Time factor affectsβwave,EMG andθwaved) Based on the changes of theαwave, it is believed that the instant effect of vision imagery is better than self-talks, but to the contrary on the delayed effect.
