Research On Individual Differences Of Delay-of-gratification Ability Of The Infant

Delay-of-gratification was the key composition and the most important ability of self-contro1.It was also the important ingredient of socialization and emotional regulation.Theoretical value and practical significance were found.In the progress of research on the ability,researchers draw out varies of conclusions on the progress of development,characters and delay strategies.This dissertation is designed to check some of these conc -lusions and to discover the individual differences in the task of delay of gratification and the delay strategies,and the other purpose is to research the relations between parenthood and the delay-of-gratification ability.The dissertation places its focus on individual differences of delay strategies of the infant in delay task , the effect of parenthood with elay–of - gratification ability,and the mechanism ofthe effect.So the research paradigm was examined in the first part of the dissertation.This part analyzed the explicit conclusions and the existing controversies and confusable problems from the aspects of features of the ability,developmental characters,delay strat -egies and the influencing factors.Firstly,the dissertation found various aspects of individual differences from the point of delay strategies such as strategy of distraction and strategy of seeking comfort and help.These strategies represent different mental meaning for different infants.Secondly,from the point ofview ofpersonal development,the disunity of the research conclusions...
