The Catholics During The Prohibition Agaist The Catholicisim In The Reigns Of Qianlong

The Present thesis dealt with the missionary activities of the Catholics during the prohibition against the Catholicism in the Reigns of Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty. It began with the elaborating the situation of the Catholics during the early Qing Dynasty. And then, it discussed the activities of the Catholics in three aspects: first, it discussed the policy and the position of the Catholics in the first few years of Qianlong; second, it discussed the main catastrophes of the prohibition against the Catholicism. And last, it discussed although there were so many prohibitions, the Catholics got prodigious development. The Catholics outspread to the border land. This period was not only an important time during the prohibition against the Catholicism, but also an important time for the development of the Catholicism in China.
