Development & Return Of Folk Literature In View Of Network Folk Literature

Modern information technology makes the network arts become possible, and also has promoted the forming of new aesthetic spirit which is different from traditional arts. Is the folk literature by means of network a kind of return of folk literature and culture? This paper illustrates the historic causes of emerging of China' s network folk literature and its current situations and development. In my opinion, network literary works have many similarities to folk literature. However, the characteristics of network folk literature are not the same as those of folk literature. Network folk literature is a variant arising out of the development of network technology and folk literature. While bringing huge benefits to mankind, Internet has given rise to people unprecedented issues for consideration. Compared with the literary value of authors, the derived value of folk literature reflects its unique intrinsic quality and aesthetic view.
