'Fang Weng Ci' is written by Lu You who just finished it randomly. The remaining parts of 130 poesies were found in 'Wei Nan Wen Ji' and a collection of 145 poesies were recorded in 'Quan Song Ci'. In compare with his ten thousand poems, these poesies were not worthier for further investigation.Lu You lived in the Song Dynasty situated at the southern part of China where the people temporized their lives in peace. He understood it is very hard to arouse the country in rebellion since the Emperor's will is unsteady. He felt sad as the northern expedition was not yet completed, but the time passed quickly. His poesies reflect his sad feelings which include the bored contradiction between bodyguard and seclusion, self-indulgent in the brothel and pursuing the carefree of Immortal. In this thesis, I would like to divide the 'Fang Weng Ci' into three parts: including his ambition, sorrow and retirement. I intend to discuss and analyze in detail with his poems and verses. The solution is that it expressed the idea inside the heart of Lu You by 'Fang Weng Ci'.
