Iliad And Shi Jing Warfare Poetry Comparison

"Homer's epics"are the most important source of European literature andShiJing is the Chinese first poetry total collection, they respectively were literature classical works in their ancient times, and all appeared the corresponding poetry theories to come to it to perform to explain .And they both had the important influence to the later generation literature development. Simultaneously the two in the literature style is a poetry, approximately all experienced orally spread, passed through unceasingly revises, the consummation, and final existing writing process.Iliad of"Homer's epics"and the warfare poetry of Shi Jing are the same in the theme.They are both about the war poetry, but the two presented the way to the war were different. This article respectively read and interpreted the Iliad of"Homer's epics"and the warfare poetry of Shi Jing mainly by using the theoretical discourses of Poetics, which was written by Aristotle in the ancient Greek times ,and Shi Daxu ,which was written in the Chinese ancient times.From the view of Aristotle's Poetics, it mainly emphasized on plot and character, simultaneously plot arrangement and character portray both paid great attention to follow the necessary law. The request of plot in Poetics centerd on "the integrity",and the complete plot should have "the head", "the body", and "the tail". We analyzed the necessary law of plot in Iliad from the head,the body and the tail of Achilles's anger. At the same time, in Poetics it also requested the portray of the character to be supposed to pay attention to four things, namely the character wanted to "be good", " be propriety", " be true to life" and "be consistency".we namely from these four things analyzed the necessary law of character in Iliad. The necessary law is much measure of value to the plot arrangement and the character portray.From the view in Chinese ancient times,we found that Shi Daxu mainly emphasized on Fu,Bi,Xing and Shi Yanzhi.Fu,Bi,Xing are mainly to express Zhi. Fu,Bi,Xing take Zhi as their goal,and are also the methods to express Zhi.From this point of view we analyzed how the warfare poems in Shi Jing expressed Zhi through Fu,Bi,Xing.We divided the warfare poems in Shi Jing into two categories.One is positive description warfare poetry,one is performance from the other side of warfare poetry. Each category separately views from the emphasis of Fu or the emphasis of Bi,Xing to analyze and interpret how Fu,Bi,Xing in the poetry expressed Zhi.Meanwhile, we also analyzed to explore which caused Iliad to pay great attention to the plot, the character and the necessary law, and which caused the warfare poetry in Shi Jing to pay great attention to Fu,Bi,Xing and Zhi. From ancient Greek Heraclitus, Democritus, Socrates as well as Plato to Aristotle,there became a traditional imitation view which regarded the literary arts as imitation.And fromChina's pre-Qin time,which a literary essence basic understanding was Shi Yanzhi, to Xunzi's Yue Lun,Li Ji·Yue Ji, and Shi Daxu, there became a traditional view that was Shi Yanzhi. Through the analysis of using these two views above,we discovered that one of the most important factors, which caused China and the West two kinds of culture warfare poetry text difference ,was the esthetic ideals and culture differences between the ancient Greece "the imitation " and Chinese Shi Yanzhi.
