Rough Draft Of Chronological Life Of Huang Yuji

Huang Yuji is regarded as a famous book-collector, bibliophile as well as historian in the beginning of Qing Dinasty, who was belittled at that time, due to his humble social bank, what's more, Huang's deeds and words were little kept in relative biographies or gravestones, so that we can hardly comprehend him. Except for Bibiography of Qian Qing Tang and Bibiography of Printing Rare Books of Tang and Song Dynasties, Huang's other writings have already disappeared nowadays. Fortunately,his works reserved have been researched fully, even if the relationships between Bibiography of Qian Qing Tang and Bibiography of Acient and Morden Books and Descriptive Accounts of Books in Ming Dynasty have also been revealed. It may be said that studies of Huang's documentary achievements have reached beyond our expections.In view of these conditions,this thesis has made two main tries, on the basis of searching and researching some materials such as official historical books, collections of essays and poems, local records and genealogical trees and so on. On one hand, the thesis is to put together Huang's family trees of Jinjiang district, in order to explain the reason why Huang Yuji showed great interests in classical and historical works. After doing that, it will go on to bring to light Huang's life view , academic and documentary ideas. On the other hand, it aims at transforming the situation of describing Huang roughly and drawing up the first preliminary draft of Huang's chronological life and collecting Huang's lost Works. At the same time, it devotes to inspecting how current affairs in that time, family tradition and teachers and friends etc. have affected Huang, likely it also pays a close attention to how Huang has taken on effections reversely. Surely, according to specifical materials the paper trys to redress some misunderstandings and distortings about Huang for the sake of future utilization.
