Huang Benji is a famous scholar in Hunan Province between the period of Jiaqing and Daoguang in Qing Dynasty.His works totaled over 30 kinds and nearly 300 volumes,are highly remarked by other scholars. However,up to now,there're no complete and systematic research upon him and his works.Associated with the Academic environment when he lived,this paper aims at filling up the blankness of the field through systematically and entirely researching his family,life experience,friends and works.This paper is constituted by two Parts.The first part is summarization.There're three chapters in this Part.The first chapter is named "Huang Benji's life and academic environment".The second chapter is named "the publications and works of Huang Benji".The last chapter is named "the commentary of Huang Benji's scholarship".I try my best to narrate in the three chapters in order to give readers an exact and vivid image of Huang Benji.The second part is the chronological biography of Huang Benji.It is based on the works of Huang and other materials such as local chronicles and genealogy.I try to show a really history of Huang Benji and depict the development of his academic idea by detail and Precise compile.
