The Study Of Nazi Germany's Ethnic German Policy

Nazi Germany's ethnic German policy which played an important role in the subsequent development of Germany, Ethnic German and host country is a catastrophic field of Nazi nationalism and racism. This article tries to approach this problem from the point of history. There are two chapters in this article that analyses the cause, evolution and practice of Nazi Germany's ethnic German policy.At first, an introduction discusses the origin and meaning of ethnic German problem. The second, the introduction overlooks research situation of ethnic German problem in China and foreign country. The third, the introduction focus on Weimar Repubic's ethnic German policy. After the conclusion of The Treatry of Versailles, Weimar government never accepted the solution of ethnic German. Ignoring minority treaties, Weimar government supported ethnic German with various ways. But the faction of ethnic German and traditional nationalism organization, combined with the resistence of host country, had contributed to ill-result.Chapter one analyses Nazi Germany's ethnic German policy before World War II. At first, this chapter discusses the relationship among nationalism, diplomat policy and ethnic German policy. As one of major instructive ideology of Nazi Party, nationalism had influenced the theory and practice of Nazi Germany's ethnic German policy deeply. Nazi Germany's ethnic German policy depended on Nazi Germany's diplomatic policy. When there were conflicts, Nazi Germany's ethnic German policy had to give away to Nazi Germany's diplomatic policy. The second, this chapter discusses the evolution of the organization that manage ethnic German in Nazi Germany. Nazi Germany had nazilized traditional nationalism organization. At the same time, Nazi Germany found ethnic German liaison office (Volksdeutsche Mittlestelle) in order to deal with ethnic German problem directly. The third, this chapter analyses Nazi Germany held out ethnic German by the means of economy, culture, propaganda and violence respectively. Then this chapter discusses the mutual relationship between annex activity of Nazi Germany and ethnic German.Chapter two analyses Nazi Germany's ethnic German policy from 1939 to 1945. Section one discusses the relationship between ethnic German and "The Fifth Column". At first, Section one analyses relationship between ethnic German and the rumor of "The Fifth Column", then introduce "The Fifth Column" activity of "The Fifth Column". Section two discusses the resettlement of ethnic German under the supervison of Nazi Germany government. Long long ago, there were ideas that resettle ethnic German in the east in Germany. The alliance of Germany-Italy and the partition of force spectrum between Germany and Soviet Union had contributed to resettlement of ethnic German. The Reich commission for the strengthening of Germandom and related organization dealed with ethnic German problem. Section three discusses ethnic German's role in "Germanization policy". Nazi Germany issued Deutsche Volksliste and Deutschstammige in order to germanlize occupy and annex areas and found strict race societies.However, ethnic German problem did not end. After World War II, Soviet Union and east European country expelledand butchered ethnic German. Ethnic German problem still is a bad factor which affects the relationship between Germany and east European country.This article summarizes finally, that Nazi Germany's ethnic German policy not only fail to amend the situation of ethnic German, but also bring lots of lost to Germany and ethnic German.This article let us continue to ponder over the following ideas: firstly, we should deal with cross-boundary nation problem calmly. Don't combine history with reality. Don't combine learning with politic. We should figure out an apple of discord under the guidance of "Keep peace with". The second, don't stand out the difference of nation and race. We should put up with diversity of nation and race.
