Subject Well-Being mainly refers to individuals' overall evaluation on their quality of life according to the standards devised by them. It includes two essential elements----life satisfaction and emotional experience. It is an important synthetic index of psychology employed to value individuals' quality of life. In the 1950's, the campaign of Positive Psychology sprang up in the USA. Since then, psychologists gradually realized that how to make people feel happy was not equated with the study on negative emotion and psychological state. Therefore, they began to probe into the composition of happiness and the social psychological elements which influence happiness from a positive point of view in the expectation of having an accurate and profound understanding of the happiness problem.In the field of subjecte well-being,the study about the adult's has been fully researched,but,research on the early youth is still a imperfection. Junior school students are in a special stage of their life and are going through physical and psychological changes. Their personalities and values begin to take shape and are not stable. Meanwhile, National Entrance examination puts a heavy pressure on their shoulders. Therefore, in order to improve and enhance youngsters' life quality and the level of their psycho-health, it's theoretically and practically significant to explore the influence of personality, values and life events on Junior school students, so that they can form sound personalities and values, confront their life actively, and in turn have more experience of well-being.This study adopted the General Well-Being Schedule, Egma Minnen av Barndomsa Upfostran(EMBU), and Adolescent Self-Rating Life Events Check List, and randomly sampled students ranging from Grade One to Grade Three in four junior schools of shandong (two of which are city schools, the rest are rural ones) in December, 2006. All together 406 valid questionaire are obtained, 171 of which are from city schools and 235 from rural ones.105 are students in Grade One, 139 in Grade two and 162 in Grade 3. Male students account for 182 while female students 224. After analysis and discussion, the following conclusions are obtained.1. Subject Well-Being of junior school students in on a middle level. Although they don't show great satisfaction with their life, they have more positive emotion and less passive emotion in general.2. Visible difference can be found in students in different grades. Students in Grade one have an obvious higher level than those in Grade two and Grade three.Junior school students' satisfaction with life and interest has not remarkable difference between males and females. City students have a higher degree of satisfaction than rural ones. But they have no clear distinction as to the other aspects of Subject Well-Being.3. Upbringing fashion and life events are closely related to junior school students' SubjectWell-Being. Students of gentle upbringing fashiones of their parents have the highest level, and they are obvious better than those of deny and dictatorial upbringing fashion of their parents as to the elements of energy, depression, state of mind, relaxation and tension.4. Junior school students' Subject Well-Being is also influenced by life events. Negative life events greatly decrease their Subject Well-Being. In all the aspects of life events, study pressure exerts the greatest influence on students. Meanwhile, interpersonal relationship and punishment are also closely related to Subject Well-Being.
