Possessor-subject-possessum-object Sentence-a Kind Of The Fugitive Sentence

Fgitive sentence and possessor-subject-possessum-object sentenceare two common sentence patterns in moden chinese.No matter in side of the structural form or expressive funcfion, they both have their own characteristics. In aspect of the syntax or the semantics, even the pragmatics, the characteristics of the two patterns are similar to each other.As a type of existential sentences,fugitive sentence is prevalent in many languages in the world.As one can find only in chinese language, possessor-subject-possessum-object sentencehas many unique characteristics.While the issue brought lots of difficulties to the foreign learners,it indeed deserve our research on it.This paper is to bring into comparism between fugitive sentence and possessor-subject-possessum-object sentence in aspect of syntax,semanteme and pragmatics, and will re-analyze the fugitive sentence,and come to a conclusion that possessor-subject-possessum-object sentence is also fugitive sentence.While openning a new angle of view for the study of the two sentence patterns,this paper provides a theory reference for our chinese teaching practice.
