The paper discusses the fugitive sentence in modern Chinese. It falls into two types according to the grammatical features of predicate phrase in the fugitive sentence:S1 and S2S1:NL+V rugitive+NPS2:NL+(V)+V direction+NPOn this basis, the paper studies the features of verbs and directional verbs in S1 and S2 systematically, it also analyze the sentence meaning and interaction of sentence meaning and verb meaning according to the Construction Grammar. The sentence meaning of the fugitive sentence is the meaning of fugitive change, specifically, it highlights the fugitive change in the integrity of the results and it is realized by the word "come/go" after predicate phrase. This sentence meaning will adjust the meaning of verbs and directional verbs in the sentence. The paper points out that S2 is the extension of S1. It is the demand of metaphor extension and precise language expression from fuzzy fugitive to specific fugitive, from specific things to abstract things. The first chapter is introduction. It defines the scope of the fugitive sentence, describes the theory and methods used by the paper, and also provides significance and innovation of this study. The second chapter is literature reviews. It describes the definition and classification of the fugitive sentence in previous study, summarizes the study of component parts and sentence meaning of the fugitive sentence. It also points out achievements and shortcomings in the previous study. The third chapter is the analysis of the predicate phrase in the fugitive sentence. It analyzes the syntactic and semantic features of V fugitive in S1 and V or V direction in S2. It distinguishes two levels of verbs in S2 according to semantic information carried by verbs, meanwhile points out that semantic information carried by verbs in S2 is gradually increasing from the fugitive sentence (S2) to the action sentence. This chapter points out the frequency of use of directional verbs in the fugitive sentence according to the statistics of them, analyzes three levels of S2 according to the grammatical ized level of "come/go". This paper also analyzes semantic structures of several typical directional verbs. The fourth chapter is the analysis of sentence meaning of the fugitive sentence. It focuses on four aspects. Firstly, the status of the fugitive sentence and the extension of the system of it. Secondly, the constraints of the appearance of verbs in S2. Thirdly, the interaction of sentence meaning and verb meaning. Fourthly, the constraints of NL and NP by the fugitive sentence. The whole chapter puts emphasis on sentence meaning of the fugitive sentence, the choice of verbs, the constraints of NL and NP, and the constraints of verbs in S2. There are three levels of restricted factors of the appearance of verbs, and they restrict the appearance of verbs from different levels.
