| Li Peifu, who persists in portraying countryside with plain attitude and staid way, is a vital representative in the He Nan writers' group. The range described in his works is almost within the ancient city "Xu". The relationship, which can't be broken away the writer and the country such as blood and pulsation, sends him to offer keen responsibility together with feelings of mission on paying close attention to the problem about society of country and the source of peasants' bitterness. The voice of the countryside from his novels can be heard, and the stratum with deep bitterness and torture living in Chinese lands for so long a time can be understood by writers. At the same time, the display to the depth and reality in description about country life shows his peculiar power of appreciating beauty absolutely close to people's heart, which makes him one important member of local color fiction writers.This article mainly analyzes Li Peifu's novels from two aspects, writer's miss towards his birthplace and apprehension towards authority. Chapter 1 chiefly displays miss towards his birthplace. Because Li Peifu, as one of the new time's local color fiction writers, has never left land of He Nan and always been devoted to describing his birthplace. He regards his composition change as a case of He Nan's locality, in order to observe the development and change of He Nan's local color fiction's composing idea in new time. Part 1 mainly expands on his initial expression towards missing his birthplace and narration like pastoral poetry, together with deep thinking motive behind this narration .Part 2 reflects his persisting and confusing on birthplace composing idea, principally combining questioning urban life under birthplace standpoint and description about country illness. Part 3 demonstrates new development and thinking of novel composing in the new century, through the expand of trend to urbanizing under birthplace standpoint.Chapter 2 mainly expands the research from the narration's high point in Li Peifu'snovels-that is authority. Because Li Peifu chiefly expands the narration aboutauthority by the fate of the character states' survival and development in his works, this chapter concentrates on Li Peifu's deep thought over Central Plain peasants' criticism of nationals' nature and humanity through analyzing the character states for the most part. Part 1 focuses on revealing the one handling authority, which mainly studies the village head who has the village's authority in hand, intellectuals altered by authority, and youth of tragedy altered by money etc to display the author's thought., that is to say ,they can't escape the fate of being altered by authority while handling authority. Part 2 mainly studies the mass, who are repressed by authority such as the mediocre and the isolated, in order to observe the problem of nationals' nature and humanity when authority works on them ,which Li Peifu wishes ,the one not scared of authority.Finally the author lays Li Peifu's novels in the huger ground of He Nan's local color fiction to watch, to point out the strongpoint of Li Peifu's novels, which makes the achievement and weakness in He Nan's local color fiction be best observed and stated, and meanwhile which provides us with a case to explore and settle in the new time.
