Saving Himself In Degradation

This paper wants to analyse "the famous morality" of Yu Dafu inheritsing from Chinese traditional culture. Looking over the legendary life of Yu Dafu, whether irrestriction of youth time, short hides leisurely or in middle age, sacrificing his life for the nationality in the Sino-Japanese War all show "the famous morality".YuDafu was not only influenced deeply by Chinese traditional culture, but also had accepted the Western person's liberation, characteristic liberation, democracy, freedom and the equal thought. The famous morality of Yu Dafu aquired new connotation because of the collision between China and Western culture. The social influence of Yu Dafu's famous morality was different with that of traditional culture because of the different times. Yu Dafu did not have the praise of his famous morality but censure. Yu Dafu practiced his historical mission and social responsibility under such background. And under this background Yu Dafu started to save society, politics , nation and people. While he had realized his social value, Yu Dafu was puzzlled by depression of the nature and life,so he had to redeem himself incapably.The life of Yu Dafu was a tragedy because of the differences between his behavior and thought, between reality and the ideal which were produced by the collision of China and Western culture .The sadly weak , the love pursuit ,the heroic breadth of spirits of Yu Dafu and his works were the three different sides of his tragedies.
