Between Fantasy And Reality-Study On Creation Of Zhang Tianyi's Fairy Tales

In 1930's, Zhang Tianyi has already become a chief writer of "Zuo Yi" literary world. His creation style of short story has been gradually mature, but at this time hestarted another field------ fairy tales. Our literature accepted these two differentforms, which not only expressed Zhang Tianyi's vast space in the creation of literature, but also told us some inside continuity between them.Zhang Tianyi's long-formed fairy tales, which started a new fantastic realm of Chinese fairy-tales, became the leader of Chinese children literature. Zhang Tianyi expressed serious themes by fantasy, surprise and humor, and he created a totally new unique kind of fairy-tales. As a writer of " Zuo Yi", Zhang Tianyi had strong senses of historical mission and moral duty. His fairy tales, which distinctly interpreted the political ideology, yielded a great influence at that time. Meanwhile Zhang Tianyi firmly sought value of literature itself and made many attempts at the tactics of narration, which made his fairy tales unique.Zhang Tianyi made his own exploration and contribution. In today's eyes, his work on fairy-tales' feature played a leading role in contemporary fairy-tales' creation. Therefore it is very important to study his fairy-tales.This paper contains three chapters. Chapter 1, summarizes other relevant studies, and then declares its own topic. Chapter 2, basing on the research of literary histroy and literature, gives three reasons why Zhang Tianyi turned to the creation of fairy-tales in 1930's. Firstly, cultural background and identity of "Zuo Yi"writer made the writers make new choice—interpreting the political ideology and taking part in thehistorical progression by using the literature style------fairy tales. Secondly, ZhangTianyi had clear purpose of creation -writing for children, his constant persuit and exploration of art. Thirdly, he sought a new way to express the reality. Following the aesthetic principle that is to reflect the reality in the fantasy, Zhang Tianyi created a unique way to combine reality and fantasy. Chapter 3 studies the unique satire in Zhang Tianyi's fairy-tales. Firstly, analyzing many means of satire in Zhang Tianyi's fairy tales ,we find out that the unique creation—satire is not only inherited but also developed. Then, in terms of literature accepts, the paper explains Zhang Tianyi's aesthetic principle in the process of his creating fairy tales. Therefore his works have more complete comedy characteristics. Finally, comparing Laoshe's and Zhang Tianyi's works, which includes the expression of topics and the satirize style. From this we would know further, the satire is Zhang Tianyi's original creation in literature, which makes his fairy-tales full of vitality.
