Before the Opium War, the Catholic Church had spread in the Northeast region and Christianity entered into the Northeast in 1852. Based on the history records of the Northeast and the history cultural heritage datum, this dissertion inspectes the situation of Catholic and Christianity introduced to the Northeast region, and tries to disscuss the impact of western religions introduction on the Northeast community.The full text is divided into three parts:The first part introduces the situation of western religion introduction to the Northeast region. Western missionaries opened the door of propagandism depending on the treaty. Yingkou opens has an important influence on western religions introduction. The Catholic and Christianity grew in western powers'penetration to backland, the most churches lied in the coastal areas and the economic centers, or nearby the transit lines. The Catholic missionaries focused more attention than the Christian missionaries on the mainland and rural areas in the course of its development.The second part expoundes western religious activities in the Northeast in Late Qing. To remove the obstacles, the Catholic and Christian missionaries established a large number of social services which included health, education, social reformation, philanthropy, etc. Because of different characteristics, the Catholic and Christian missionaries took different means, their emphasis is different in social undertakings. The Christianity had made important achievements in medical and health undertakings. In the aspect of educate, the Catholicism lay particular emphasis on the theology educate and the primary education, the Christianity is outstanding in high education, secondary education and occupation education. Catholic missionaries paid more attention than the Christian missionaries on philanthropy, the later enthuse social reformatin and social relief.The third part analyzes the impact of western religions introduction on Northeast community. The spread of Catholicism and Christianity created a group of people whose beliefs different from traditionalism. Which made the religious relief complex, and caused conflicts among them. The various social undertakings missionaries run comform to the needs of social transformation and development impersonally, and accelerated the modernization of the Northeast. Undoubtedly, most of missionaries came to China as invaders. They lorded relying on their privilege of propagandism, extorted compensation of regious cases, accroached homestead, tyrannize, so the negative influence of western religions is as clear as their positive function.
