The after-class reading is the initiative psychological inclination for one's own reading activities and the psychological inclination to actively probe into the content and connotation of reading materials, it has exerted great significance on the study, mentality and physical health of the undergraduates. In regard to the current education in china, the undergraduates'after-class reading has not been given the adequate attention and effective guidance by schools, families, societies, consequently, the healthy development of undergraduates'after-class reading was greatly hindered. With an eye to this issue, the author has adopted such methodologies as questionnaire, interview, document-reference to conduct this research.The questionnaire used in this article was answered by 200 students (chosen from random sampling) from Changchun University of Science and Technology. Based on the analysis of the current situation of undergraduates of science and technology interests in after-class readings and research of its tendency, extensiveness, modes, habits, differences and intentions, the conclusions are as follows:1. Science and technology undergraduates'after-class readings have widespread and multi-level.2. The reading works are mainly from library,self-purchase and other classmates.3. The reading trend is not subject to the influence of profession, which has no remarkable difference in gender, major and students'origin, however, it is obvious difference between Grade, for example, the time of Grade one or two spending on curriculum is less than that of Grade three or four.4. The reading habits and ways are not scientific. While reading, they neither write nor communicate each other.5. The reading motive is mainly seeking knowledge, and has the utility.
