Li-Zhi is not only an important ideologinist and historinist in the later part of the Ming Dynasty, but also an important literature theorinist. At his early age, he worked hard for his poor family. At the period of as education official at Hui county, he began to study the theory of life and death about humanity. Later, he was arranged for magistrate of a prefecture at Yaoan,Yunnan province. At this age, he began to contact with Buddhism and trust it. Though this expierence, his ideology was advanced to a higher level. As a part of his ideology, his literary concept presents open properties following the ideological development. From the early traditional concept that literature has no benefit to the truth of life and death, to the concept that literature is also beneficial to the truth, the formation of his new literary theory has a process of uninterrupted growth.In his"innocent mind"theory, he makes a penetrating analysis about literature concept by a short article, and goes ahead at that times. His"innocent mind"theory influences the trend of thought in literature.The natural disposition and intelligence"theory put by Yuan-Hongdao is obviously influenced by Li-Zhi.Li-Zhi's poem creation,his criticism of novel and tradional opera have a close contact with"innocent mind"theory. That is, literature should approve and express man's real feelings. The creation and criticism mixed with his literary theory,express his opoints to literature together. His literary ideology is also gradually being an important part of our country aesthetic ideology.
