The Evaluation Research Of The Chinese Character Primary Course-Book For Foreigners

The main aim of this thesis is to build up a scientific evaluation system of the Chinese character primary course-book for foreigners, so the main content of this thesis is to discuss why and how to build up such a evaluation system.First, we discussed the definition and the significance of the course-book, and we demarcated our researching object on Chinese character primary course-books. Then we summed up the evaluation research of course-books at home and abroad, and we got the basic model of course-book evaluation. But Chinese character books for foreigners are different from other course-books, they have their own particularity. We compared the current Chinese character course-books, analyzed the same and differences between the teaching-objects, teaching-contents and teaching ways. Foreigners are the main teaching-objects of Chinese character course-books, so we investigated them by questionnaire to research their demand on Chinese character books and their expectations about the course-book's content and teaching ways. Also we summed up the teaching theory results on Chinese character for foreigners. On the base of all the above, we designed an evaluation list of Chinese characters for foreigners, which is just a first draft and need further research. The scientificity of the evaluation system depended on the research of Chinese character books and the identity of other researchers. So we consulted nearly 20 experts, summed up their opinions and amended the evaluation system, and confirmed the content of the evaluation system.The effects on the object of each evaluating index are different, so we need to make sure the weight of each index. We made a weight questionnaire of the evaluation system which was confirmed before. We invited more 30 experts to give their own weight of each index by the questionnaire. And we use two ways to count the weight, one is called"taxis by experts"and one is to equal the others. We considered that two ways are adapt to this evaluation list, and also can reduce the objective effects on weight. Then we compared my own weight list with the weight list which is made by questionnaire, then finally confirmed the evaluation weight of Chinese character course-books for foreigners.At the end, we concluded the significance of our evaluation system for compiling Chinese character course-book for foreigners, and also we hope this thesis can arose others'interests on the evaluation of course-book, so as to promote the development of Chinese character course-book.
