Although Chinese characters are not the element of Chinese,the relationship of them is closed,it's very difficult for students to learn Chinese well with out learning Chinese characters.Therefore,in recent years,how to teach and how to improve the quality of the Chinese characters teaching for foreign students become the focus of attention of many experts,scholars and foreign language teachers.The complexity of Chinese characters makes it difficult to recognize,remember and write.However,there are still some rules to follow.If we can reference the constitution and law of Chinese characters,an effective foreign Chinese character teaching method will be summed up.This article tries to take Chinese "walk”for example investigating the<Teaching Chinese as a foreign language vocabulary>exhaustive.Combining the researcher of overseas students in International Department,some strategies and methods of teaching foreigners Chinese character were also suggested.According to this,this article wants to be able to play Chinese character teaching some initiate inspiration.The main contents are as follows:The introduction introduces the purpose,the significance and the research method of this article.The first chapter introduces the concept of form,sound and meaning,did statistical classification of Chinese "walk" and made textual criticisms and explanations of it.The second chapter researches the difficulty in learning Chinese character by collecting corpus and questionnaire survey,then combined with the results of the survey and the theory,this paper analyzes the causes of the difficulty.Combined with the textual criticisms and the investigation,the third chapter puts forward some teaching strategies and gives an example.Finally,through the investigation and practice,this article found that even though the number of Chinese characters and structure is various,but Chinese character is graphic and Chinese character is philosophical,Chinese character also have relations with Chinese culture,from this aspects we can improve students' interest and motivation of learning Chinese character,improve their learning efficiency and deepen their memory.For different students we should use different teaching strategies to adapt to them.
