Hidden curriculum exerts a subtle influence on student's psychology character. Teacher-student relationship is important intent of hidden curriculum. In the process of teaching, teacher and student are the most active main parts. Teacher-student relationship in teaching, which has quite important educational functions, is the most essential and the most important relationship among people in teaching procedure. And the communication between the teacher and student is the most important precondition during the course of teaching.By the method of quantitative analysis combining with qualitative analysis, the theory of hidden curriculum is present, research result of hidden curriculum and the relationship between teacher and student are reviewed in this paper at first, and then point out that we have not pay more attention to research of the relationship between teacher and student as important hidden curriculum in Chinese education to foreign students now. But Chinese language teaching and learning are carried out in the affective communication between teacher and student. The relationship between teacher and student play a important hidden curriculum role in Chinese education to foreign students, we expect to create the best environment of Chinese education to foreign students by the way of coordinating and optimizing the manifest curriculum and hidden curriculum, therefore the teaching quality of Chinese education to foreign students can been raised quickly. In this thesis teacher-student relationship is investigated among foreign students learning Chinese as a second language in China. The results indicate: In the Chinese language teaching to foreign students, it is common phenomenon that the more attention are paid to the class teaching, but the teaching after class are ignored. More attention are paid to the knowledge of language, but affective exchange are ignored. More attention are paid to the manifest curriculum, but the hidden curriculum are ignored. Student's sensibility to the teacher influence directly whether the student like or not like the course, and self- evaluation of the study mark. Teacher-student relationship correlates significantly with the desire of teacher's help, correlates significantly with the student's attitudes towards teacher's academic seeking help and correlates significantly with the student's oral-Chinese classroom anxiety. And this relationship can also predict the student's attitudes towards teacher's academic seeking help and the student's oral-Chinese classroom anxiety.Through the qualitative analysis , this thesis expound that the value of teacher-student relationship as hidden curriculum in Chinese teaching as a second language.By the sample study analyses, how to make harmonious and democratic teacher-student relationship, and how to make the best possible efficacy of hidden curriculum are summed up lastly.
