Hua Yao is a branch of Yao, mainly in junction of the Tiger-shaped Mountain and Xuefeng Hill. Plowing, hunting as a means to survival, positive and optimistic minds, they all provide fertile soil to the colorful folk. These traditional folk songs in the course of inheritance have been continuously enriched and improved, and formed unique musical culture, which is characterized by the search for love, marriages. There are "gu ge "and "shan ge" in the traditional Yao's music, and the folk melody, rhythm, the lyrics and so on not only displaying the lives, but also the flow of time. In the process of history, its traditions and folk music culture as evidenced by the influence of various factors. With production and life styles will change in some way: The folk songs are also gradually changed to adapt to the new environment. Folk songs are the crystallization of the wisdom of the Yao people, are one part of cultural heritage. Whether past, present or future, and they are always with the people's needs and choices, and can not be separated. Their historical and cultural heritages, the local folk culture, are still needed to be deeply studied.Besides the introduction and conclusions, this article consists of four chapters :Chapter 1: Outlines will give on the Hua Yao's living geography in the Tiger-shaped Hill, including their environment and population, the economy, overview of social production. Focusing on the origin of that name on the history and culture of ethnic background.Chapter 2: This chapter is the main part, introducing the main composition of the traditional folk song in Tiger Hill, including the following aspects: the types of traditional folk songs, e. g. love songs, gu ge and bar songs. Analysis the music from the body shape, and style features. Exploring the music from the geographical situation, the rhythmic language of body shape (such as pitch, melody, etc.) and so on.Chapter 3: This chapter is the second chapter in depth, mainly in the case study on the musical phenomenon in Chong Mu Dang Village from the wedding ceremony and the traditional festival view, study the folk songs as a cultural phenomenon. Through comparing and analyzing different periods of the folk songs, probing into the changing process.Chapter 4: This section is a complement to the previous chapter, a comprehensive analysis of the status quo of the Hua Yao's Folk Songs. Mainly through the process of social changes, a folk song singer's experience and the transmission of the "gu ge", try to explore the tradition of the folk songs, popular forms, and social functions. The analysis of the survey results, solutions, a number of recommendations, initiatives calls for the upcoming fall protection and try to rescue the folk cultural heritage are given in the end.
