Abstract:This article observes 1225 poems wtote by 3 poets from Hu Nan(湖南)in the Tang Dynasty(唐代). By analysing and connecting the total 1302 rhyme units(韵段), this article sums up their rhyme system. The rhyme system of Modern style poetry(近体诗)of Hunnan in the Tang Dynasy could be grouped into 28 categoties, which include 12 classes of "Yin rhyme" (阴声韵) and 16 classes of "Yang rhyme" (阳声韵). They accord with regulation ofsingle and merging rhyming(同用独用) in《Guang Yun》(《广韵》). The Classical style poetry(古体诗)is made up of 24 rhyme categories, which include 10 classes of "Yin rhyme", 8 classes of "Yang rhyme" and 6 classes of "Ru rhyme" (入声韵).There are many phenomena of "Chu rhyme" (出韵)and "Jie rhyme" (借韵)inHu Nan's poetry in the Tang Dynasty. They show the phenomena of standardized phonology in the Tang Dynasties as well as dialectal accent of Hu Nan province : the finals of "Yang rhyme" had merged; the finals "-k and-t" of "Ru rhyme" had been ebbingand disappearing; compared with the labials of category You-hou of standardized language had merged into Yu-mo, the labials of category You-hou in Hu Nan's poetry in the Tang Dynasty hadn't yet; The tone "Zhuoshang" (浊上) had begun to become Qusheng(去声), but still hadn't generally appeared then.
