The period from the Medieval Age to the Modern Age saw the tremendous change of the Chinese phonetic system. The research of the Yu Wen quoted from Si Sheng Pian Hai provides essential files for the laws of the evolution of the Chinese phonetic system transferring from the Medieval Age to the Modern Age, which has a transitional role, on the other hand, provides a chance to the collection of scattered writing about the phonetics. This research is based on the principle of Fanqie comparison, with this skill, Yu Wen is compared to Guang yun, Ji Yun, Wu Yin Ji Yun to explore the comparative relation and the changing laws of the phonetics in the four books above, as well as to discuss the relationship among the four books to get the differences and the sameness, furthermore, to get the unique phonetic features of Yu Wen's own by comparing, which is, Yu Wen inherits the old traditions, which quoted much from Guang Yun, less from Ji Yun over the transcribe. With evaluation, the finish of Yu Wen was from the end of Northern Song to the start of Southern Song, although the Qie Yu of it did embody the part of actual phonetics, but showed little, which indicated the edit under the deep influence of official and formal phonetic books over the period of Yu Wen, for the part of transcribe was consciously according to Guang Yun for the loyalty of formality, but unconsciously indicated the phonetics in fact.
