The Research On The Chinese Knowledge Culture Items Of The Overseas Chinese Teaching Materials

Culture education is vital importance in teaching Chinese as a second language,especially in overseas Chinese education. As the main part of culture education inoverseas Chinese education, Chinese culture knowledge is a crucial aspect toconsidered by the writers of teaching materials.This paper chooses six sets of representative overseas Chinese teaching materials, andinvestigates their texts and complemental materials systematically. On the statisticaldata, the author analyzes the layout specifications of the texts and complementalmaterials based on the amount and proportion of Chinese knowledge culture in the sixsets of teaching materials. On the contents, the author inspects Chinese knowledgeculture items and the proportion of each item covered by the texts as well as thecomplemental materials, and analyzing the characteristics of Chinese knowledgeculture items in the six sets of teaching materials.Based on the research results, and combining with the joining relation for Chineseknowledge culture and language for overseas Chinese teaching materials, the authorputs forward some opinions on how to design and layout Chinese knowledge culturein Chinese teaching materials used overseas.
