Shi Tiesheng is very distinctive. His work is like wisdom used in Buddhist scriptures and full of philosophy of life, which makes many readers have no way to comprehend. For understanding Shi Tiesheng much deeper, this dissertation concerns mainly about how the deformity makes him get the way to mull over past events to sum up his experience and lessons and how he expresses it in literature. So, the main contents are to discover the conscious process from"thinking"to"poetry".The paper includes preface, main body and conclusion. In the preface, it is to discuss the dissertation about present study, aim, context, ways, key issues as well as to conclude the points of initiation.The first step in the main body of this dissertation is to analyze the"extreme experience", which is the beginning of"thinking"and led by"extreme circumstances". The next is to expound the process and contents of"thinking": as the main source of"life experience", things from"memory and impression"are the major objects of his self-examination and from the"memory and impression"of his"life experience", Shi Tiesheng concludes the living of human beings into two subjects-- deformity and love which are cognition got from mulling over the exist of human beings. In Shi Tiesheng's thought of consciousness, there is an absolutely perfect exist behind the deformity and love. It is divinity and it is the reflection of his thought about"ultimate concern"and the destination of his"thinking". The last step is to discuss the"reduction"—to express his rethought life experience in literary way.The conclusion is to summarize the paper and the main standpoints and viewpoints.
