Feng Xiaoqing is a talented woman who perished young in the end of Ming dynasty . At the same year in which she died, her biography written by JianJian Ju Shi had come out. Following this,"Favor about Feng Xiaoqing"gradually became a influential cultural phenomena in Ming and Qing dynasties.In the literati's works, Feng Xiaoqing was a incamation of"qing",a bailment about literati's tragedy, and a promise according to traditional moral. Her figure became the cultural icon in that time. This paper will discuss it in the following parts.Introduction: In this part, the introduction shows Feng Xiaoqing's life story, and the thesis defines the"Favor about Feng Xiaoqing". The discussion of"the real versus the fake"about her has been defined.Chapter one: In this part, the thesis discusses Feng Xiaoqing's thoughts, actions and literati's reception to her thoughts and actions. And from this, the paper proves that Feng Xiaoqing was the incamation of"qing"and she was the succeeding figure to Du Li'niang(Peony Pavilion, written by Tang Xianzu). Xiaoqing's theory is different from Du Li'niang's. She is true and described as the theory about"qing"in reality.Chapter two: In this part, the thesis discusses the three different contradictions in Feng Xiaoqing's life: to Feng Sheng, to Feng Sheng's wife, to Mrs Yang. The three contradictions stand for literati's main traditional tragedies. And the tragedies shown in this cultural phenomena presented new features and developmental tendency.Chapter three: In this part, the thesis emphasizes on Feng Xiaoqing's environment. From this, paper ascertains that Feng Xiaoqing was the moral icon in that time.Chapter four: In this part, the thesis shows the perspective of literati's psychology in ming and qing dynasties.
