As one of the five famous experts on philosophy, Zhang Zai was the main representitive figure of "Taoist School"of Northern Song Dynasty whose thinking far-reachingly affected the study of "Tao". It was "History Of Northern Song Dynasty. Biography Of Zhang Zai" that told us his doctrine system. It said that "Based on Zhou yi, his system took mean as its skeleton and Confucius Mencius its basic laws. It deserted strange things and distinguished ghost from God". This evidently shows that Zhang's philosophy is based on study of "Zhou yi". Talking about this issue, my teacher Mr Liu Xuezhi has made his comments: " Zhouyi, which reflects Zhang's gains out of his long-term study, is undoubtedly his representitive work during his mature period. However, it was merely a collection of quintessence of his words and compiled by his disciple Su Bing. Then, his early work Essay on Zhouyi, should be taken as an important foundation-laying work. The transform-ation from this book to Zheng Meng indicated that Zhang's philosophy matured out of Zhouyi.(Journal of Shaanxi Normal University, 2nd edition on philosophical social science,2002). From this, the paper "Heng Qu Yi Shuo",obtains from three important philosophy concept, studied the thoughtto Zhang Zai to do some basic research, thus unfolded open carriesthe philosophy thought the development vein.Guided by "Yi Xiang", it analyzes the tangible and intangible "Xiang". Though intangible, "Yao Xiang" has its nature to help us taste or feel the propitious, the evil, the contrition, the mean, the pliant and the hard by observing the positive and negative "Yao"in the "diograms". "Tao Xue", and its key function is that it's the biggest "Xiang" in "Zhouyi". "Xiang" is used to signify something for us.Then what's the intention of his using the "Yi Xiang" of "Tai Ji"? We can know from analysis on it that he is to take "Tai Ji" as the "Xiang" of the nature to symbolite the nature of "He Liang", then to elucidate the connection between "One" and "Two", to indicate the utmost harmony—"Tai He" caused by the two scatters by "Yang Xing" and coheres by "Yin Xing". The two factors coordinate and things are produced."Two"and "One"coenist with each other, as it called "Tian Can". Consequently, the nature of "Tai Xu"perforates between exterior and interior form and it doesn't exist when separating from "Qi" on this point, Zhang systemized his subjective thesis of "Tai Ji"centred around nature.God is an important topic in Zhang's philosophy, it functions from two aspects: Changing from "Qi" to God, things come; the saints have God in their minds and maxingize to "Hua". Ultimately, they coexist with the nature. Why God counts is that it connects "Tai Ji" and everything and ensures their unity. God makes "Qi"of "Tai Xu" fluent and makes sure everything scatters but enters into "Tai Xu". In addition, God makes the positive and negative feel each other and mix them up, which produces everything. This chapter begins its philosophical topic of "the coexistent but uncertain si "God" of Zhang and gets the conclusion that the essence of God is coexistence of change and ropose, the positive and negative are uncertain. Changes and reposes coexist and the result surpasses the common "stillness". The positive and negative "Qi" of "Tai Ji". The uncertainty of the positive and negative transfers to "Oi" and things come. This indicates the universal characteristics of God-made things.Judging from the analysis of Zhang's explanations of "Heng Qu Yi Shuo", we can conclude that he used and succeeded "Shi Zhong" in" Zhong Yong" as a reference, and fully brought his ideas into play in "Essay on Zhouyi" and explained it. All of these became the indication of his orginality. The analysis also shows us that "Time" is just the response of "Yao". When "Yao"acts, time steps afterwards. "Mean" is just the "Yao" of the "Middle" of "Yao". It signifies the virtue of "Zhong Zheng". This differs from the ideas of Wang B.consider-ably. Zhang Zai explained "Zhou yi" using "Shi Zhong" to highllight the effect of moral practice. "Zhong" represents the virtue of "Zhong Yong" and "Zhong Zheng". He took "diagram of heaven" as an example and indicated the skillful characteristic of his explanation by way of "Shi Zhong".
