Wang Hui (1321-1372), lived in Yiwu , Zhejiang province. His another name is zi chong. He was one of the best historians and literators in the early days of the Ming Dynasty. His history works quite abundant, such as Chronicle Sequel. When the Emperor Zhu Yu Zhang organized schoolars compiling the History of Yuan Dynasty,he and his good friend Song Lian were the editors in chief.This article through to Wang Hui life story, does scholarly research the experience, the academic inheritance by and the history work inspection, the historian which emphatically analyzes in the history thought of Wang Hui lies in his history viewpoint such as" paying equal attention to the history and the study of Confucian classics" "the emphasis is accommodating with the human affairs for the characteristic dialectical conception of history", his conception of historian tutelage , his legitimate theory and the center innovation thoughts in the History of Yuan Dynasty.This article also carries on the comparison to Wang Hui with Song Lian in history thoughts. Wang Hui and Song Lian were the best scholars in the beginning of the Ming Dynasty. They came from the same area and they studied from one teacher. Both of them were famious for the history and literature. Compares with Song Lian, Wang Hui was more attention to the history. He thought both the history and the Confucianism all have the morals to hang teaches the function and the experience profits from the value. But Song Lian was more attention to the Confucianism. He throught history serves the Confucianism. Although he opens atmosphere of history in the Ming Dynasty, its objective lies in publicizing the Neo-Confucianism. Their differences which academic inherits causes the difference of their history thoughts.This article also pointed out that the history thought of Wang Hui has limitation. His thoughts more or less has gotten the time brand mark.And his thoughts in history has not like his thoughts in literature been able to focus attention on for the later generation .The reason is that his thought was not in harmony with then tidal current.Wang Hui with Song Liandu was the intermediary force in Jin hua school of thought and east ZheJiang history school of thought, but Wang Hui was more faithful to original condition of the Jinhua school of thought than Song Lian. In the academic inheritance his thoughts meetting the Southern Song Dynasty, issuing Ming and Qing Dynasties, is an important link. Therefore, this article takes Wang Hui as a research object,it can be a clear understanding about the inheritances of the east Zhejiang history thoughts from the Southern Song Dynasty to the Ming and Qing Dynasties longitudinal.
