In the ideological background of religious integration during the mid-to late Ming dynasty, many disciples of Wang Yang-ming incorporated a large amount of ideas from Taoist thoughts and Taoism thoughts when they are carrying forward Wang Yang-ming’s philosophy. The writer took three thinkers for example to explore the relationship between Yang Ming-school and Taoist thoughts and Taoism thoughts. Those three thinkers are Wang Ji from Yang Ming-school in the middle of Zhejiang, Luo Hongxian from Jiangxi and Li Zhi from Taizhou school. The writer will describe it in following several chapters:The exordium part mainly expounds the reason and significance of writing this topic, the object of study, the academic history and the research methods.The first section is mainly focus on the background of the phenomenon that Yang Ming-school absorbed Taoist thoughts and Taoism thoughts. The three thinkers almost lived in the turning period from prosperity to decline.of Ming dynasty. Ming at that time experienced a severe situation where the society and culture changed enormously.The second, third and forth section are mainly about the influences which Taoist thoughts and Taoism thoughts had on Wang Ji, Luo Hongxian and Li Zhi. In the second chapter, this paper analyzed Wang Ji’s friendship with Taoist priest and the Taoist asceticism. In the following part of this chapter, the author emphatically described Wang Ji’s integration in Taoist thoughts and Taoism thoughts from four aspects; the "heart" ontology, the knowledge of detachment and ideal personality, the theory to intuitive knowledge and health care, pranayama. The third chapter mainly described the relationship between Luo Hongxian and Taoist thoughts and Taoism thoughts. First, this paper analyzed the reason why Luo Hongxian addicted to Taoist thoughts and Taoism thoughts, the circumstance of Wang Ji’s friendship with Taoist priest. In the following part of this chapter, the author emphatically described Luo Hongxian’s integration in Taoist thoughts and Taoism thoughts from four aspects:the way of keeping good health, the theory of conscience, doctrine of emphasizing tranquility, the theory of controlling desires and pranayama. The forth chapter is mainly about the relationship between Li Zhi and Taoist thoughts and Taoism thoughts. First, this paper analyzed Li Zhi’s attitude to religious integration. In the following part of this chapter, the author emphatically described Li Zhi’s integration in Taoist thoughts and Taoism thoughts from four aspects: theory of childishness and the theory of human nature, comment of Lao-tzu, Chuang-tzu and theory of govern by non-interference, the utilization of Morality book of Taoism, the quest for truth.The fifth section is mainly on the characteristics of the relationship between the thinkers of Yang Ming-school and Taoist thoughts and Taoism thoughts. Yang Ming has many disciples. There are many thinkers except those three incorporated ideas from Taoist thoughts and Taoism thoughts. This section will groom and summarize it. In addition, the author summed up three characteristics based upon analysis:First, the incorporation is Confucianism-based. Second, the incorporation attached importance to the theory of mind-cultivating. Third, the incorporation integrated itself with mystical experiences.
