Questionnaires adopted in the research include Social Support Scale, Self-esteem Scale(Rosenberg), Collective Self-esteem Scale and Subjective Well-being Questionnaire, which are answered by 287 college students in Nanjing. Data analysis adopts SPSS 11.0 and LISREL 8.80. This research draws the following conclusions:1. Collective Self-esteem Scale has relatively high reliability and validity, which can be used in research.2. Social support has important influence on subjective well-being, different social support can cause different effects.3. Collective self-esteem can has important influence on subjective well-being, controlling the effects of social support and personal self-esteem.4. Personal self-esteem is a mediator variable between social support and subjective well-being5. Collective self-esteem is a mediator variable between social support and subjective well-being6. Social support not only can have direct influence on subjective well-being, but also can has indirect influence on subjective well-being, through the effects of collective self-esteem and personal self-esteem. Namely, personal self-esteem can be a mediator variable between collective self-esteem and subjective well-being.
