The Research To Wittgenstein Concerning On The Problem Of Grammar

This essay try to show the whole process of Wittgenstein's thought through grammar. The grammar is central concept of Wittgenstein's philosophy, and the concept of grammar pervades the whole of Wittgenstein's language viewpoint. This concept closely links with the logic in Tractatus, and Wittgenstein thinks that the logical syntax of language is the language's logic, therefore the logic is the essence of language and whole language system is constructed together in terms of logical syntax. In Wittgenstein's view, syntax-logic is the deep structure of language, its language regulating the operation of the role played. Similarly, this structure dominates the entire operation of sciences and none of the structure corresponding to the reality in the world. Late Wittgenstein continues along the path forward grammar. He believed that language has its meaning in use, and grammar of language is displayed in its use, the original language is the language-game. Therefore, we can only describe how we use language, which describes the concrete language games. This description can be described as "the parsing description". Later Wittgenstein believes that the grammar of language is not exactly the same as a priori logic, and we use language from their natural history, life styles. Thus he attributes the grammar grounded practice, history, belief, etc. to the form of life, thereby he not only further criticizes the traditional philosophy, but also deconstructs the syntax-logic structure in Tractatus.
