The Exploring On The Chen Baochen's Qing Liu Style

In this thesis, there is a comprehensive research about Chen Baochen's Qing Liu style. It consists of three parts. The first part recounts Chen Baochen's status in Qingliu of Last Qing Dynasty briefly, and also tells the origin of the status. The second part inquires into Chen Baochen's Qing Liu style systematically. It contains observing the doctrine of the government official, venturing of speech, asserting revolution, paying more attention to the talented person and being a warmonger stoutly. The third part are intend to unveil the attitude of the court to Chen Baochen's Qing Liu style. The attitude of the court experiences a change from appreciation to negative then to suppression. Therefore Chen Baochen's official career became variable. The author thinks Chen Baochen's Qing Liu style not only reflects that as a traditional scholar-bureaucrat he must maintained the traditional etiquette morals, simultaneously also indicated that as a far-sighted personage he should pay attention to the new learning in order to save the social crisis. Therefore the mixture of tradition and reform is the main line of Chen Baochen's Qing Liu style. If the mixture is appropriate, the style will be received by the royal government, otherwise he will be under attack, so this characteristic is also the feature of Chen Baochen's earlier official career. We investigate Chen Baochen's Qing Liu style, which can not only deepen the research on Chen Baochen, but also contribute to systematic research on the Qing Liu of the Last Qing Dynasty.
