The Calligraphy Study Of Chen Baochen

Baochen Chen(1848-1935)is from Minxian,Fuzhou.His style name is Qian Bo.He is also known as An Tao and 'Cangqu Old Man.As an official in Tong,Guang,Xuan Dynasties,he has an important place in China's modern history.Baochen Chen has got very high achievements in politics,education,poetry and calligraphy.Yet his calligraphy light is often overshadowed by his political identity,.He is famous in calligraphy.But after he dead,people didn't pay much attention on his identity as a calligrapher.The lack of objective and professional study in his calligraphy make the later generations can't get a holistic cognition of Baochen Chen.This thesis is aimed for making up the research blank in Baochen Chen's calligraphy.The paper's purpose is to sorts out Baochen Chen's calligraphy friends activities and analyzes the characters of his works.In the end,the thesis tries to put forward Baochen Chen's calligraphic thoughts.
