Opera Aida, one of Verdi's most representative works, depicts the love tragedy of ancient Egypt. It is the unfading classic on the world opera stage, which is well-known for its glamorous stage scenes, exquisite melody, and orientalness. This paper is focused on analyzing the histrionic of Opera Aida, as well as the application of music in the opera, which serves as a channel to explore the opinion of Verdi's opera. Besides, it is also significant for Chinese opera to learn from the method that Verdi employs—various forms of human vocals to build opera characters and disclose conflicts.This paper is divided in three parts. The first part is devoted to the introduction of Verdi's life experience and development of his career, from which the opera concept of Verdi could be concluded.The second part is devoted to the analysis of this representative work of Verdi from multi-perspectives and thorough explanation of his opera concept implied in this opera.The third part is devoted to the analysis of various conflicts in theopera and the dramatical effects brought by the application of human vocals. As a result, this paper could further explore the perfect build-up of the opera characters by Verdi.
