Arrangement And Study Of Dunhuang Bamboo Slips Of Han Dynasty

From the beginning of 20th century to 1980s,Bamboo slips for writing on of Han Dynasty unearthed at the Fengsui site of border area in Shulei valley of west Gansu Province, which was called Dunhuang Bamboo slips of Han Dynasty were the earliest and largest parts discovered in succession in the area of Donghuang County. Those Bamboo slips were dated from the later period in Western Han Dynasty to later Eastern Han Dynasty, which was about the northwest station troops'archives of Han Dynasty. It possesses very important values in historical data and offers us an opportunity of studying the station troops' system and history in Han Dynasty board area.Immediately after their discovery, many domestic and foreign scholars have straighten out and could distinguish those texts basically.However,the differences among three editions have brought some difficulties for further studies. By this,author have done steady and thoroughgoing researching works on Dunhuang Bamboo slips of Han Dynasty,that is to carefully collate the different texts according to the pictures of original Banboo slips of A Collection of Chinese Bamboo slips(Gansu Volume), Dunhuang Bamboo slips of Han Dynasty, and Expiation of texts of Dunhuang Bamboo slips of Han Dynasty in order to provide other scholars with exact explanations of character's figures.In addition,there is a large number of characters having variant figures but the same meaning in the texts of Dunhuang Bamboo slips of Han Dynasty., amounting to 234 pairs. Sometimes a origin has several variants which yet nobody have studied at present.So,this thesis have probed into the catalogues and reasons for it's production from the aspects of character's development,writing habits and style evolvement that offers us to understanding the practical looks of characters in Han Dynasty.
