Living in a Chinese language system, people use Chinese characters as a tool to communicate with each other, which is also a representation of written language. Characters like ship, car, basket and bag as considered an important channel to transmit information. As one of the oldest ideograms based on hieroglyph, Chinese character is a symbol of Eastern culture, and especially a typical representation for Chinese culture. Chinese characters have gone through the ideological changes of each dynasty, and have a close connection with superstructure and hierarchy of the country at that time. Characters bear certain hierarchical characteristics, which can be understood in a way that characters represent the interest of certain class. It serves for one class meanwhile damages the others. The history of character demonstrates that it has served for the ruling class, as well as for the ordinary people. Character is equal to each class. Any class that dominates it gets its power.During the whole evolution of Chinese characters, there are two contradictory processes playing an important role in pushing forward the development of Chinese characters, that is, simplification and complication. The basic elements of Chinese characters are their strokes. In the long history of evolution, Chinese characters have gone through the process from complication to simplification, from establishment to vanishment of the structure. Therefore, Chinese characters have achieved the simplification in form and started an extension in meaning. From the semiotic perspective, we select several Chinese characters whose strokes have always been forgotten. To better serve the advertisement design, we should understand how these strokes being forgotten. If the Chinese character culture can be described as a big flourishing tree, then, art designs of Chinese character are flowers the fruits on it. From symbols and hieroglyph at the beginning to the present abstract visualization of figures and symbols, it reflects the rapid changes of social economy, culture and art. The practice and researches about Chinese characters are so wide that almost everyone knows how to use a pen can get a start. But it is need to be aware that as a whole concept the art design of Chinese characters contains rich meaning, open content, with various forms and visualization.
